About the Nationwide Insurance Foundation
The Nationwide Insurance Foundation is an independent corporation funded by Nationwide Companies to help positively impact the quality of life in communities where our customers, employees, agents and their families live and work.
The Foundation recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Since 2000, the
Nationwide Insurance Foundation has awarded more than $270 million to
qualified nonprofit organizations that work to meet crucial needs in
communities with large Nationwide employee populations.
The Nationwide Insurance Foundation is dedicated to making strategic
philanthropic investments to meet the most critical needs in communities.
The Foundation also helps employees, agents and retirees maximize the
impact of their personal gift by matching contributions to our United Way
campaign and accredited higher education institutions dollar for
dollar.
In 2006, the foundation pledged the largest gift in its history,
granting $50 million to Columbus Children's Hospital. The Nationwide
Insurance Foundation is committed to being there for people and
communities when they need us most – just as it has since 1959.
