Nationwide Children's Hospital Story
The Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus is making a difference
As the doctor started to perform the ultrasound on my wife, she said "No wonder you're so sick – you're having twins!"
We were so excited to be adding a little boy and a little girl to our family. Life couldn't have been more perfect for us.
The time came to deliver. Noah and McKenna were finally here. My wife and I were filled with this warm sense of love that we both had never experienced before.
I watched as my children were examined and noticed a nurse wheeling an oxygen chamber toward my son. Noah was having trouble breathing. X-rays revealed that his lung had collapsed. He was then whisked away to the ICU.
The trained staff, doctors and nurses of Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, were a joy to deal with and are truly life-givers.
After six weeks in the ICU, Noah was finally healthy enough to come home to his mommy and daddy and little sister.
Noah and McKenna are now healthy toddlers, and it's all thanks to Nationwide Children's Hospital. I couldn't be more proud to work for an organization that shows such compassion for their community and aligns themselves so well with other organizations.
