In 2006, Nationwide Foundation awarded is largest single contribution, a $50 million grant, to Columbus Children's Hospital. It was the second largest philanthropic gift ever made to a U.S. hospital, and it will touch the lives of thousands of children in need of top-notch medical care. In honor of the gift, the hospital was renamed Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
