Irv Bell oversees the sixth generation of his family farming business in Zanesville, Ohio, which focuses on swine and grain production.
Bell was first elected to the Nationwide board in 1998.
Bell served as a state trustee of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation from 1991 to 1998 and as president from 1994 to 1998. He has represented the Ohio Farm Bureau at state and national level activities and has traveled internationally representing Ohio agriculture.
In 1995, he was inducted into The Ohio State University Department of Animal Sciences Hall of Fame and received the distinguished alumni award from the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in 2001. Mr. Bell was inducted into the Ohio Agricultural Hall of Fame in 2009. He is a U.S. Navy veteran.
