Mark Berven

Mark Berven is the Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Product Management Officer, where he provides leadership for product, pricing, risk management and underwriting across the Nationwide Insurance organization, aligning with strategy as he develops Nationwide products.

He joined Nationwide in 1994 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including underwriting personal and commercial lines, serving as Regional Vice President in both the independent and exclusive channels, and most recently as Senior Vice President, Product and Pricing, for all property and casualty operations.

Berven has been active in a variety of nonprofit and industry related organizations in the communities in which he has lived. He is the Board Chair of The Childhood League Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

Berven, his wife Tammy and their two children, Amanda and Adam, moved to the Columbus area in early 2010.
