NASCAR Nationwide Series
Nationwide Insurance is proud to be the title sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide Series, replacing Anheuser-Busch's Busch brand. Nationwide is also the official auto insurance provider of NASCAR and also provides home and life insurance coverage. The first NASCAR Nationwide Series race took place Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Daytona International Speedway.
The seven-year partnership between NASCAR & Nationwide gives Nationwide the exclusive rights to tie its brand to the most popular form of motorsports in the United States. Nationwide will enjoy the support of 75 million brand-loyal fans, including 2.7 million who annually attend races of the NASCAR Nationwide Series, which features 35 points events at 26 tracks across North America, including Mexico City and Montreal. The NASCAR Nationwide Series, broadcast on ESPN2 and ABC, is stronger than ever. The series is the third highest-rated regular-season sport on cable television.
Nationwide is not new to NASCAR. For the past eight years, Nationwide has had a partnership with track operator Speedway Motorsports Inc., providing On Your Side® information guides, transportation services and fan pit stops to race fans all over the country.
The NASCAR Nationwide Series logo and word mark are used under license by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc., and Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. NASCAR® and the NASCAR logo are registered trademarks of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc.
