The Nationwide Tour
The Nationwide Tour holds more than 25 events each year and is part of
the PGA TOUR family. The top 25 players on the tour earn PGA TOUR cards,
which makes it the official proving ground for future PGA TOUR
champions.
Nationwide Tour graduates have won 13 major championships and more than
272 PGA TOUR events. Some of the world’s best players – including Jim
Furyk, Ernie Els, David Toms, Tom Lehman and Zach Johnson – sharpened
their skills on the Nationwide Tour.
Nationwide Insurance – the preferred personal lines property insurance
and casualty insurance provider of the PGA TOUR – has been the tour’s
title sponsor since 2003. That makes Nationwide the longest-running title
sponsor in PGA TOUR history.
