Common features

The following fees may be assessed against your account. Please see your account Terms and Conditions for further information regarding fees and transaction limitations.

ATM fees

  • Replace an ATM or Visa Check Card the second occurrence and any thereafter: $5.00
  • Except where indicated otherwise, foreign (non-Nationwide) ATM use: $1.50*
  • Note: There might be an additional fee (surcharge) charged by the foreign ATM operator.

Checking fees

  • Check printing: (fee depends on style and quantity of check ordered)
  • Official check: $8.00**
  • Deposited checks (and other items) returned unpaid: $25.00

On-Line bill pay fee for Expedited Payments

  • Electronic (same day): $5.00 per payment
  • Overnight (next day): $17.50 per payment

Dormant account fees

An account is considered dormant if for 365 days no withdrawals or deposits, other than credited interest, have been made to the account and we have received no communication from you about the account for 365 days.

  • The fee for a dormant account is $5.00 per month on the 366th day and monthly thereafter. Fee will not apply to the Nationwide Restoration or Nationwide Secure Money Market Account.

Legal processing

  • Garnishments: up to $100.00/order
  • Levies: up to $100.00/order
  • Attachment: up to $100.00/order

Overdraft fees

The categories of transactions for which an overdraft fee may be imposed are those by any of the following means: check, in-person withdrawal, ATM withdrawal, or other electronic means.

  • Overdraft protection transfer fee: $5.00 each day a transfer (or transfers) occur*
  • Paid nonsufficient funds (NSF) or uncollected funds: $25.00
  • Nonsufficient funds (NSF) returned: $25.00
  • Special statement cut-off or to hold a statement: $5.00
  • Account reconciliation and research: $25.00 per hour
  • Stop payments - check or range of checks or an ACH transaction: $20.00

Domestic wire transfer

  • Incoming: No charge
  • Outgoing: $25.00

International wire transfer

  • Incoming: $5.00*
  • Outgoing: $35.00

Miscellaneous Fees

  • Account closed within 6 months of opening: $25.00 (Excludes Nationwide Employees, Members of Nationwide Bank Agent and Associate Banking Program, Nationwide Restoration Checking, and Nationwide Secure Money Market account)
  • Photocopy of cancelled check or other items: $5.00 each
  • Collection item (incoming): $15.00
  • Collection item (outgoing): $15.00
  • ACH next day outgoing fee: $15.00
  • Deposited item copy (per item): $3.00
  • Special mailing/rush delivery fee: Actual cost, based on specific request
  • Foreign check processing: $15.00
  • Online Banking: No charge
  • Non-customer notary fee: $2.00
  • Non-customer check cashing fee: $5.00
  • Consumer loan late payment: $20.00
