The Best of America Exclusive Venue Annuity is a deferred variable annuity. Variable annuities are long-term investment vehicles designed to help with retirement planning. They are contracts issued by a life insurance company that provide a variable rate of return based on the performance of underlying investment options.
Exclusive Venue offers you the protection of an annuity while providing access to your investments at any time without a surrender charge. Withdrawals of taxable amounts will be subject to ordinary income tax and, if taken prior to age 59½, may be subject to an additional 10% IRS tax penalty. Naturally, if you take an early withdrawal, your death benefit and cash value will be reduced.
