Actuarial
It's all about the numbers with actuaries. They love them. They can't get enough of them.
With calculators and charts in hand, they work in product development, pricing, reserve valuation and financial reporting. They do complex things like "reserve adequacy analysis" and "asset liability management."
Actuaries use their skills to build modeling tools, analyze investment risk, consult with product areas, support management in strategic financial decision-making, and help balance our risk and returns.
We look for actuaries who have, or are working for, professional designations in either the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).
If you're working toward a CAS designation, as an associate, Nationwide's Property/Casualty Actuarial Program will help get you there.
