Your Emergency Kit

Just as you have an emergency kit for your home, children can prepare their own kit to help pass the time until the disaster is over and you all can return home again!

Some items to include in your child's emergency kit:

A couple of their favorite books
Crayons, pencils and paper
Scissors and glue
A couple of their favorite toys
A few of their favorite board games
A puzzle
Your child's favorite stuffed animal
Their favorite pillow or blanket
Pictures of their family and friends
Your phone number, address and the names of relatives to contact in case your family gets separated
