If you or a family member is injured or ill and needs to be hospitalized, will you have enough money set aside to cover the out-of-pocket costs associated with the medical bills or a hospital stay? If you have a high-deductible health plan, chances are that you may be caught off guard and financially unprepared when the medical bills start coming in.

If your employer has chosen a Nationwide Ca$hBack Plan as an option for your benefits package, you're in luck. These unique accident and hospital plans will help you manage potential deductible expenses for medical treatment or hospital fees when you or a family member have been accidentally injured or require hospitalization because of illness.

With this valuable option, you can be assured that:

  • You are free to visit the hospital or provider of your choice
  • Your benefits are paid regardless of other insurance plans
  • Reimbursement will be paid directly to you to be used at your discretion; apply it toward your deductible or use it for other medical-related expenses.

Although coverage may be limited for pre-existing illness or injuries, you and your eligible family members will not be refused insurance on the basis of your medical history.

How do I enroll?

Enrollment is both easy and convenient. We offer several enrollment options via online, paper or phone. Your Human Resources representative will assist you with the plan enrollment selected by your employer.

Administrative Services provided by MedBen®

Nationwide has partnered with MedBen® to provide administrative services for our Ca$hBack Plans.  Once the enrollment process is complete, you will have access to online tools to support and assist you with:

  • managing claims
  • benefit information
  • viewing and printing certificates of coverage
  • viewing and printing forms
  • requesting changes to name, address, marital status, etc., if applicable
  • other customer service functions, as needed
