Nationwide S&P 500 Index Fund

Investment objective

The Fund seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the price and yield performance of publicly traded common stocks, as represented by the Standard & Poor's 500® (S&P 500) Index as closely as possible before the deduction of Fund expenses.

Investment strategy

The Fund employs a "passive" management, or indexing, approach, designed to match approximately the performance of the 500 Index before the deduction of Fund expenses. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of companies that are included in or other financial instruments that are correlated with, the S&P 500 Index.

BlackRock Investment Management, LLC, Subadviser

Rachel Aguirre, Christopher Bliss, Edward Corallo, Jennifer Hsui, Timothy Murray are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fund, including selection of the Fund's investments.
