The Columbus Zoo and Nationwide also sponsor Jack's new TV show Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown, which airs on ABC. See more about this exciting partnership
Hanna's "hands-on" approach to wildlife conservation has won him widespread acclaim as a conservationist, author, television personality, and director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Recognized around the country as America's favorite zookeeper, Hanna has made countless television appearances to bring awareness to animal conservation on shows such as Good Morning America, CNN's Larry King Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and the Late Show with David Letterman. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is a world-wide leader in wildlife education and conservation.
Nationwide has been a long-time supporter of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, dating back to Hanna's early days as zoo director in the 1970s. Nationwide was a major supporter in returning polar bears to the zoo. The new Polar Frontier exhibit features a 1.32-acre yard with a 167,000-gallon pool for the bears to enjoy and for guests to view the bears underwater.
