Bank easier with eDeposit

In case you haven’t heard, Nationwide Bank now offers eDeposit, a mobile service that allows you to deposit checks by phone. It’s available to customers with a camera-enabled iPhone or Android smartphone.

With eDeposit you can deposit domestic checks into your personal or business checking, savings or money market account. You can deposit up to 10 checks—totaling up to $1,000—each day.

How to deposit checks from your phone
To deposit a check with eDeposit, endorse your check and write the following underneath:

For Nationwide Mobile Deposit Only

Open the Nationwide Bank app and choose “Deposit” from the menu. Take a photo of the front and back of your check – make sure all four corners are visible and the writing on the check is legible. Then enter the deposit amount, select the account where you want to deposit the funds and enter an email address for a receipt. Press the Deposit button and you’re done.

Once the deposit has been submitted, you’ll see a confirmation on your phone and get an email receipt at the address you provided. You’ll receive a second email when your deposit is processed, and as long as the deposit is approved the funds will be available in your account within two business days.

Hold onto your check for 15 days after your deposit to ensure it posts to your statement. After 15 days, you can securely destroy the check.
