UNC Tar Heels announce new partnership with Nationwide Insurance

Columbus, Ohio — Are you The World’s Greatest Tar Heel? Prove it to your friends and family, in a first-of-its-kind online application sponsored by Nationwide Insurance. Tar Heels can upload their image to www.tarheelblue.com/nationwide and they’ll be put in the center of the action.

It’s just one element of the new partnership between Nationwide Insurance and the UNC Tar Heels. Nationwide, the No. 1 property and casualty insurer in North Carolina, is now the proud sponsor of UNC Athletics.

Some of the highlights this Nationwide sponsorship will bring to Tar Heels in and around Kenan Memorial Stadium:
• The World’s Greatest Free Ride in the World: free shuttle rides for Tar Heels to the stadium on game day. Just look for the buses!
• Nationwide “Paint it Blue Booth” where you can get your face/arms/legs painted blue or with temp tattoos. Present at each home game in Tar Heel town, next to The World’s Greatest Tar Heel photo booth.

The UNC Partnership gives Nationwide Insurance a platform that aligns with the community’s passion and team loyalty. Nationwide’s goal is to raise awareness through the live interactions with Tar Heels by enhancing their overall experience on game day.
