Gail Snyder

Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Nationwide

Gail Snyder is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Nationwide. She was elected to this position in 2006.

As CIO, Gail leads the Nationwide Investments organization which manages the invested assets for our company, spanning the Life and Mutual companies, Nationwide Funds Group, and Nationwide's pension. Her responsibilities include portfolio management, portfolio risk management, real estate and fixed income asset management, third party management, alternative investments and strategic investments for Nationwide. 

Gail joined Nationwide in January 2005 as head of Enterprise Portfolio Management where her responsibilities included setting investment strategy and relationship management for all Nationwide companies. Prior to Nationwide, Gail served in various roles at GE Asset Management and Genworth, including head of portfolio management and Chief Investment Officer for GE Mortgage Insurance.     

Gail holds a bachelor's degree in science from the University of Tennessee majoring in finance, with a minor in economics. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
