Lawrence A. Hilsheimer
President and Chief Operating Officer, Nationwide Direct & Customer Solutions
Larry Hilsheimer is President and Chief Operating Officer of Nationwide Direct & Customer Solutions, which includes Nationwide's call-center based sales and customer service units. He also oversees Nationwide Bank and Nationwide Better Health. He was elected to this position in October 2009. He previously served as Nationwide's Chief Financial Officer.
Larry joined Nationwide from Deloitte & Touche USA, LLP, where he held numerous positions as a partner, including Columbus office Managing Partner, Regional Managing Partner and Vice Chairman. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Deloitte Foundation.
He serves the community as a board member for Nationwide Children's Hospital, Battelle for Kids, CompeteColumbus, and Columbus Downtown Development Corporation.
Larry is a graduate of the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He sits on the Dean's Advisory Council at the Fisher School of Business and is a board member for The Ohio State University Alumni Association. He holds a law degree from Capital University Law School.
