J. Lynn Greenstein
President and CEO, Nationwide Bank
Lynn Greenstein is currently President and CEO of Nationwide Bank, a
$4.4 billion asset thrift institution and an affiliate of the Nationwide
Mutual Insurance Co.
The Bank serves the customers and employees of Nationwide as well as the
general public via a direct business model.
Prior to her current assignment, Lynn was Senior Vice President of Product and Pricing for Nationwide’s Property and Casualty Insurance businesses. In this role, Lynn provided product, pricing, risk management, underwriting and billing leadership in support of the auto, property, and commercial lines, which generate $13 billion in revenue across 46 states and three distribution channels.
Lynn joined Nationwide Life Insurance Company in 1985, then worked in Property & Casualty Internal Audits supervising financial and operational audits that provided exposure to a variety of regions, subsidiaries and staff offices. From 1992-1996, Lynn held profit-and-loss leadership roles at Nationwide’s nonstandard auto company, Colonial Insurance Company of California, eventually serving as Vice President of Insurance Services with responsibility for claims, marketing and underwriting. Subsequently, she joined Wausau Insurance Company where she acted as a strategic consultant to the President’s cabinet and was responsible for merger and acquisition target development. Since rejoining Nationwide Insurance in 1996, Lynn has had a variety of roles including Vice President – Operations Services where she was responsible for countrywide sales and service operations of 2,400 employees.
Lynn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-OH), Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe).
She is a current board member and secretary of the Central Ohio Diabetes
Association; board member and Audit & Finance committee chair of
National Church Residences; current board member at large of the Ohio
Banker’s League; mentor and case competition judge for Fisher MBA College
– The Ohio State University. Most recently Lynn was elected to serve as a
director on the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati board.
