Mark Thresher
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Nationwide
Mark Thresher is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nationwide. He was elected to this position in October 2009. He is responsible for the financial operations of Nationwide, directing the Office of Finance, which includes Treasury, Risk Management, Accounting, Financial Reporting and Taxation. In addition to leading the finance team, Mark also oversees our Investment operation and Nationwide Realty Investors.
He previously served in leadership roles at Nationwide Financial including President and Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He joined Nationwide as Vice President and Treasurer in 1996. Prior to joining Nationwide, Mark spent 18 years with the accounting firm KPMG, LLP.
Mark earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Otterbein College.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Financial Services Roundtable.
Mark serves as the chair of the Columbus Center of Science and Industry (COSI) Board of Trustees. He also is a member of the Otterbein College Board of Trustees where he chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Investment and Advancement Committees. Mark will serve as the 2010-2011 statewide campaign chair for the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, for which he currently is a board member and serves on the Program Services Committee.
