Nationwide Financial appoints Timothy Long to Lead Independent Sales Channel

Columbus, Ohio— Nationwide Financial® today announced that Tim Long has been promoted to lead sales in the independent channel.
Long will be responsible for annuity, life insurance and retirement plan sales activities within the independent broker-dealer channel, and will assist with the development and marketing of new products.

Long has experience in all aspects of financial sales, including the distribution of annuities, mutual funds, life insurance and retirement plans. He has spent the last three years of his career at Nationwide, where he has been responsible for sales in the independent broker-dealer channel’s eastern division. Before joining Nationwide, he held leadership positions with various investment firms, including MFS Investment Management, Transamerica and Legg Mason.
He earned his undergraduate degree in finance from Temple University, and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
