Allied Insurance continues tornado response in Parkersburg, Iowa

Des Moines, Iowa — Allied Insurance claim representatives
continue to assist customers in Iowa in response to recent windstorms,
hail and tornadoes that caused damage in the state. Policyholders with
storm damage should call the Allied claims hotline at
1-800-282-1446.
To date, Allied Insurance has received more than 700 claims in the state
of Iowa, varying in degree of severity. The wind and hail claims are
concentrated in Des Moines, Council Bluff and the Waterloo/Cedar Falls
area.
The Allied Insurance/Nationwide Insurance catastrophe van will arrive in
Parkersburg on Thursday, May 29, 2008, to provide additional assistance
to residents. The van will be in the parking lot of Aplington-Parkersburg
High School, 610 N. Johnson Road, Parkersburg. At the same location,
there is an Allied relief tent, where representatives are handing out
food, water and other necessities to policyholders.
Allied Insurance claims teams arrived in Parkersburg shortly after the
storm hit Sunday evening. The number of associates has increased each day
and it is expected that 20 associates will be on site soon.
Allied claims representatives are currently visiting all losses and
handing out checks on the spot.
