Greg Lashutka announces retirement

Columbus, Ohio—Greg Lashutka, Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, has announced plans to retire at the end of the year.
Since joining Nationwide in 2000, Lashutka enhanced the company’s engagement in the public policy process, significantly raising Nationwide’s profile in Washington. He was a driving force to better engage Nationwide associates about the importance of participation in the election process. Additionally, Lashutka oversaw Nationwide’s trial division operations.

Before joining Nationwide, Lashutka served two terms as mayor of Columbus, a partner with the law firm of Squire, Sanders and Dempsey, and Columbus City Attorney. As every Buckeye fan knows, Greg also served as a co-captain of the Ohio State football team, member of the Buffalo Bills pro football team, and color commentator for OSU football games. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and a law degree from Capital University Law School, served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, and was president of the National League of Cities.
