Nationwide Insurance continues storm response in North Carolina

Winston-Salem, NC—Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. claim representatives and agents are assisting customers in response to Sunday’s hail storms in Mecklenberg and Cabarrus counties. Nationwide continues to service claims from tornados reported throughout the Piedmont Triad on May 8.
Because of weather in North Carolina in the past week, Nationwide customers have filed more than 500 homeowner claims and more than 500 auto claims. These numbers are expected to increase.
Policyholders with storm damage should call the Nationwide claims hotline at 1-800-421-3535 or contact their local agent.
“We’ve noticed a definite increase in claims volume following Sunday’s storms,” said Lee Morton, regional vice president for Nationwide’s North Carolina operations. ““We’ve added additional personnel to Mecklenberg and Cabarrus counties and the Piedmont Triad to assist customers in need of claim service.”
Policyholders may visit Nationwide’s mobile catastrophe unit, which is located at The First Christian Church of Clemmons, 6131 Fryebridge Road, Clemmons, NC 27012.
