Nationwide Insurance Offers Tips to Protect Home and Belongings from Severe Weather

Columbus, Ohio - As the potential for severe weather increases, Nationwide Insurance wants to remind those living in the Midwest to take a few precautionary measures to protect their home and personal belongings from damaging wind and heavy rain.

Nationwide Insurance recommends residents who may be affected by severe weather to do the following: 

Nationwide Insurance claims representatives and agents are able to assist customers affected by severe storms. Policyholders with storm damage should call the Nationwide Insurance claims hotline at 800-421-3535.
In the event a policyholder needs to file an insurance claim, representatives are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist them. To help expedite the process, it is helpful to have a policy number or home address available when placing the call. Also, make note of any injuries received and any witnesses or police authority contacted in relation to property damage.
