Irv Bell is a senior partner in the sixth generation family farming business in Zanesville, Ohio, which focuses on swine production and complementary grain and cattle entities.
Bell was first elected to the Nationwide board in 1998.
Bell served as a state trustee of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation from 1991 to 1998 and as president from 1994 to 1998. He has represented the Ohio Farm Bureau at state and national level activities, and has traveled internationally representing Ohio agriculture.
In 1995, he was inducted into The Ohio State University Department of Animal Sciences Hall of Fame and received the distinguished alumni award from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences in 2001. Mr. Bell was inducted into the Ohio Agricultural Hall of Fame in 2009. He is a U.S. Navy veteran.
