Sara Martinez Tucker is chair of the University of Texas System Board of Regents where she is tasked with steering the governing body of the UT System and overseeing each of its 14 institutions. She previously served as CEO of the National Math + Science Initiative – an organization focused on improving student performance in science, technology, engineering and math. Additionally, from 2006-2008, she served as undersecretary for the US Department of Education, and was CEO and president of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund from 1997-2006.
She was elected to the Nationwide board in 2018.
Other directorships include American Electric Power, Sprint, Xerox, and the University of Notre Dame’s Board of Trustees.
