We've combined a team of seasoned benefits industry professionals with Nationwide's insurance and financial services expertise to create Nationwide Employee Benefits.

Syed Rizvi, Vice President

Syed Rizvi (Rizvi) is Vice President/Chief Specialty Insurance Officer for Nationwide, responsible for Nationwide's Specialty Insurance portfolio, including Nationwide Employee Benefits. Rizvi joined Nationwide in 2007 as Vice President, Enterprise Performance Management and Analysis (EPM&A) reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Nationwide in 2007, Rizvi was Vice President of Finance for Victoria's Secret at Limited Brands and was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company. Rizvi holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a master's degree in engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo.

Lia Easler, Associate Vice President

Lia Easler leads strategy development, sales, and operations for Nationwide Employee Benefits, with an emphasis on expanding the distribution model, streamlining operations and implementing new technologies. Lia began her career with Nationwide in 2006, and has held a variety of leadership roles in marketing and member solutions. Prior to joining the company, Lia was vice president of customer satisfaction at Bank of America. Lia graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She also has expertise in organizational change management (Nationwide), Six Sigma (University of Akron) and executive leadership (Case Western Reserve University).

Sue Reinhard, Director of Underwriting and Operations

Susan (Sue) Reinhard assumed a leadership role with Nationwide Employee Benefits in January 2013 after the acquisition of the Harleysville Insurance Companies. Her career with Harleysville Life Insurance Company spanned more than 25 years where she held positions in operations, sales, business development and underwriting. She holds industry designations of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, Group Benefits Associate and Retirement Plans Associate – employee benefit programs sponsored by the International Foundation of Employee Benefits.

Ed Malone, Director of Sales

Ed Malone leads the national sales team for Nationwide Employee Benefits. Ed’s career with Nationwide, spanning more than 20 years, includes positions in sales leadership, customer service, case management and plan administration. In addition to his state insurance licensing, he holds FINRA Series 6, 26, and 63 licenses and also maintains the Registered Investment Advisor (Series 65) license. Ed is a Certified Retirement Counselor and is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Shaun Hochradel, Director of Process Management

Shaun Hochradel leads customer experience initiatives for Nationwide Employee Benefits, including process and systems development. Shaun joined Nationwide in 2000 and has held various roles in finance and customer service. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio University.

Brian Doran, Director of Marketing

Brian Doran leads marketing and branding for Nationwide Employee Benefits. Brian joined Nationwide in 2010 and has more than 15 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Brian holds a Bachelor's degree in social science from from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University.

Megan Weaver, Associate Actuary

Megan Weaver leads the actuarial analysis and pricing for Nationwide Employee Benefits. Megan joined Nationwide in 2016, with prior healthcare and specialty product pricing and reserving experience. Megan earned her Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
