Nationwide is proud to be the official insurance and financial services provider of the CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association). The CIAA is the oldest African American athletic conference in the nation and is committed to the development of future leaders. The CIAA basketball tournament is the third largest watched and draws many fans to the weeklong event every year.

Fans and teams come to the annual CIAA basketball and football championships for more than just the game, and we’re always excited to be there to enhance their experience with fun activities, giveaways and more.

Scholarships, internships and mentorships

As part of our commitment to educational excellence, Nationwide has provided more than $1 million in scholarships to student athletes over the past 10 years. Nationwide has hired several interns from the CIAA, many of whom have become full-time associates of our company. We’re also proud to say that our talent acquisition team has visited several CIAA schools to meet with students about careers and provide mentorship.
