Nationwide Pension Transfer

We are honored to have been chosen by your company as the guarantor of your pension benefits. By taking on this role, we assume responsibility for providing your future payments and delivering an easy and reliable service experience with speed and extraordinary care.

Please keep in mind:

  • If you are already receiving benefits, everything stays the same
  • If you are not yet receiving benefits, they will be available when you reach your eligible retirement date
  • Keep an eye out for a welcome letter from Nationwide asking you to confirm your information; this should arrive 2 weeks prior to Nationwide’s first direct payment
  • A few months after the welcome letter, you should receive a certificate from Nationwide that defines the benefit to which you are entitled

We want to assure you that your pension benefits are safe. We have protected what’s most important to our members for generations and will do the same for you.

Helpful tools

You can access your account and personal information at any time. Virtually all your needs can be completed through our online portal, while our mobile application offers select capabilities.

Nationwide Pension Transfer Portal

You will receive, or may already have received, website access instructions in the mail. This notice contains your temporary password to access the Nationwide Transfer Portal for the first time. Upon doing so, you will use your temporary password to create a user ID, update your password, create an optional password hint, and set up security questions and answers. You will need your user ID and updated password to subsequently access the portal, so keep this information for future reference.

Our mobile app

Once you have set up your username and password for the online Nationwide Pension Transfer Portal, you can download our mobile application, UPoint, on your Apple or Android smartphone. You will be prompted to “select your company” when opening the app for the first time. Search for “Nationwide,” click next, and then login with your information.

You will receive, or may already have received, your temporary Phone PIN in the mail. You will need this temporary phone PIN on your first call, after which you will be prompted to change your phone PIN for future calls.

Make sure to add your mobile phone profile when speaking with a representative or through the online Nationwide Pension Transfer Portal. This way, a one-time access code can be sent immediately via text message to your mobile phone if you forget your phone PIN.

Annuities are issued in all states, except NY, by Nationwide Life and Annuity Insurance Company, Columbus Ohio. In New York, annuities are issued by Nationwide Life Insurance Company, Columbus Ohio. Prior to June 29, 2020, all annuities were issued in all states, including NY, by Nationwide Life Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio.​
