Refunds

In years when claims are lower than expected, a portion (or all, depending on the plan selection) of the difference between the group's anticipated and actual claims is credited back to the employer.1

Telemedicine

Recuro Health Virtual Care telemedicine services connect patients virtually to U.S. board-certified doctors and therapists. Virtual visits are often more affordable than in-office ones, which helps both employers and plan members save money.

Recuro urgent care offers U.S. board-certified doctors and medical providers that are available 24/7 to diagnose, treat and prescribe medication (when medically necessary) for many minor illnesses and injuries such as colds, flu, sore throats or allergies, via phone or online video visits.

Recuro behavioral care offers licensed therapists that can help with a wide range of mental and emotional health needs for adults and children ages 10 and older. Members receive ongoing support, on their schedule, from the comfort and privacy of their own home via phone or online video visits in as little as 48 hours.

Wellness program

The wellness program through Vitality® is available with most plan designs. With this unique offering, together with the Self-Funded Program, employees can get healthier while enhancing and protecting their lives. When plan members do healthy right, they can lower their health care expenses.

Provider search tools

Researching health care providers can help save on costs and empower patients to select the provider that best fits their needs. With the Self-Funded Program through Nationwide, members have multiple ways to search and explore provider options.

  • Provider search tool. Our reference-based pricing plan designs include a provider search resource. This cost and quality navigation tool helps members access quality health care at a fair price. With this easy-to-use plan feature, members can shop around for low-cost, high-quality providers.
  • Network search tools. In addition to our transparency tools, all of the networks available with our program have provider searches available for members. These can filter in-network providers by location, specialty and more.
