Nationwide Focused Driving Rewards® is a new program that offers great perks for distraction-free driving. It’s easy to sign up and start earning points that you can redeem for e-gift cards from popular retailers.
Here's how it works:
2 Start driving, avoiding distractions such as phone handling, tapping and hand-held calls.
3 Get a score every 2 weeks — the higher the score, the more points earned.
4 Redeem points for e-gift cards from popular retailers.

No. You do not need to have insurance with Nationwide to participate.
No. Your participation is optional and has no impact on your insurance premium.
The app automatically detects when you are driving. It records your trips and measures phone distractions.
Your participation is optional. You may unenroll from the Focused Driving Rewards program at any time by going into your Profile on the Preferences menu in the Nationwide Mobile app and clicking "Unenroll." If you unenroll, you'll lose any unredeemed points. You can re-enroll in the program at any time.
Focused Driving Rewards is not currently available in AK, CA, FL, HI, LA, MA, NY or OK
[1] Drivers 29 years and younger can earn up to $60 every 6 months. Drivers 30 years and older can earn $2.50 every 2 weeks, up to $30 every 6 months.
Nearly half of the drivers in the program experienced a decrease in their distraction levels after their first month participating. For these drivers, their individual distraction levels reduced by 48% on average. Based on Nationwide data from July 2023 to February 2025; includes only drivers that have more than 1 month of active participation in the program.
Focused Driving Rewards is not insurance and does not require the purchase of a policy or a quote. Participation is optional and subject to terms and conditions. Not available in all states. Nationwide may terminate the program at any time.
