Activating your connected car is pretty simple and straightforward. In order to get started, you’ll need to enable data sharing for your vehicle data.

Toyota

Eligible programs:

  • SmartRide® Connected Car
  • SmartMiles® Connected Car

Eligible vehicles:

  • 2018 and newer Camry, Sienna
  • 2019 and newer Avalon, RAV4, C-HR
  • 2020 and newer Corolla, Highlander, Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia
  • 2021 and newer 4Runner, Mirai, Venza
  • 2022 and newer GR86
  • 2023 and newer Crown
  • 2024 and newer bZ4X

If you have not downloaded the Toyota app, follow these steps to add your vehicle and enable data sharing:

  1. Download the Toyota App
  2. Click on "Add a Vehicle".
  3. Enter the VIN manually or scan the barcode on the front windshield. 
  4. When prompted, accept the "Master Data Consent" and "Insure Connect" consents.
  5. Click "Finish Setup" to save your vehicle.

If you have downloaded the Toyota app and added this vehicle, follow these steps to ensure data sharing is enabled:

  1. Select the Account Icon in the top right corner of the Toyota app.
  2. Under "Manage your Profile & Settings" click on "Account".
  3. Under "Account Settings", select "Data Privacy Portal".
  4. Select the applicable vehicle.
  5. Accept the "Master Data Consent" and "Insure Connect" data consents.
