Nationwide Announces Soccer Star Alex Morgan will ‘Join the Nation’
Morgan to appear in Nationwide advertising during the Women’s World Cup Broadcast on FOX
Columbus, Ohio - Nationwide – one of the largest and strongest diversified insurance and financial services organizations in the U.S. – today announced that American female soccer star Alex Morgan will become the latest athlete to “Join the Nation.” To kick off the partnership, Morgan will appear in an upcoming advertising campaign titled “Band Together” that will launch in social media, online video, and television in June. The new television ad featuring Morgan will first air during the broadcast of the Women’s World Cup games on FOX.

“Band Together” features Morgan’s signature pink headband and encourages camaraderie on social media through #BandTogether. The advertising shows Americans across the country donning the headband in a show of support for Morgan and to celebrate the red, white and blue. The commercial was developed by Nationwide and Durham, North Carolina-based ad agency McKinney.
