    Strategy overview

    The Nationwide Standard & Poor’s 500® Index Fund (S&P 500 Index) employs a “passive” management, or indexing, approach, which seeks to match approximately the performance of the S&P 500 Index before the deduction of Fund expenses. The S&P 500 Index includes approximately 500 common stocks of U.S. larger-capitalization companies in a wide range of businesses.

    The Nationwide S&P 500 Index Fund (the “Fund”) intends to be diversified in approximately the same proportion as the S&P 500 Index (the “Index”) is diversified. The Fund may become nondiversified, as defined in the 1940 Act, solely as a result of a change in relative market capitalization or index weighting of one or more constituents of the Index. Shareholder approval will not be sought if the Fund crosses from diversified to nondiversified status due solely to a change in the relative market capitalization or index weighting of one or more constituents of the Index.

    Important disclosure

    The expense ratios are as of the most recent prospectus. The difference between gross and net operating expenses reflects contractual fee waivers in place through March 2, 2027.

    The Nationwide Mutual Funds and NFA entered into a written contract limiting annual fund operating expenses to 0.21% until at least March 2, 2027. Under the agreement, the expense cap applies to all share classes (excluding 12b-1 fees). Please see the Fund's prospectus for more details.
