Enter the Century Farm Barn Quilt Contest

For a century or more, your farm or ranch has weathered changing seasons, evolving technology and new generations. Along the way, you’ve built something that matters: a legacy rooted in hard work, family and community. Now it’s time to share how safety helps protect that legacy for the future.

Founded by farmers in 1926, Nationwide® is proud to celebrate operations with that same long, rich history. The Century Farm Barn Quilt Contest honors farmers and ranchers whose operations have existed for at least 100 years, recognizing their commitment to safety practices that protect the people, families and traditions that keep them going.

If your farm or ranch has been operating for 100 years or more, enter our contest from November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027, for a chance to win a custom barn quilt.

10 legacies; 10 handcrafted barn quilts

10 winning farms and ranches will each receive a custom barn quilt that celebrates their unique history and contributions to American agriculture. Winners will work directly with an artist to design a one-of-a-kind 4'x4' barn quilt inspired by their operation, their story and the safety practices that help secure their future.

Here’s a quick overview of the contest:

    • Farms and ranches that have been operating for 100 years or more are eligible to enter
    • 10 winners will be selected
    • Judges will look for entries that describe solutions and strategies that help keep family, workers and visitors safe; review the full details in the entry form
    • The contest runs from November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027
