Choose the Right Ladder
- Duty Rating (ANSI):
- Type IAA – 375 lb
- Type IA – 300 lb
- Type I – 250 lb
- Type II – 225 lb
- Type III – 200 lb
- Total Load = Your weight + PPE + Tools
- Material:
- Fiberglass – Non-conductive, strong
- Aluminum – Light, but conducts electricity
- Wood – Non-conductive when dry, heavy

Quick Safety Tips
- Inspect ladder before use: cracks, loose parts, missing labels, etc.
- Reject and tag damaged ladders.
- Place on firm, level ground; secure top and bottom.
- Follow 4:1 angle rule for extension ladders.
- Extend 3 ft above landing.
- Maintain 3 points of contact.
- Keep belt buckle between rails.
- Never stand on top two steps of a stepladder.
- Only one person per ladder.
- Do not use in high winds or convective storms.
