Activating your connected car for SmartRide® and SmartMiles® is pretty simple and straightforward. In order to get started, you’ll need to enable data sharing for your vehicle data.
Toyota

Eligible vehicles:

  • 2018 and newer Camry, Sienna
  • 2019 and newer Avalon, RAV4, C-HR
  • 2020 and newer Corolla, Highlander, Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia
  • 2021 and newer 4Runner, Mirai, Venza
  • 2022 and newer GR86
  • 2023 and newer Crown
  • 2024 and newer bZ4X

Once you have downloaded the Toyota app and created an account, you can now add your vehicle. Follow these steps to connect your car:

  1. Click on “Add a Vehicle”.
  2. Enter the VIN manually or scan the barcode on the front windshield. 
  3. Select “Account Information” in the top right corner of the Toyota app. 
  4. Under “Data Consents”, select “Data Privacy Portal”. 
  5. Accept the “Master Data Consent” and “Insure Connect”.
  6. Click “Finish Setup” to save your vehicle.

If the Toyota app is downloaded and your vehicle is added but you declined the consents required, you’ll need to follow these steps to finish connecting your car:

  1. Select “Account Information” in the top right corner of the Toyota app.
  2. Under “Data Consents”, select “Data Privacy Portal”.
  3. Accept the “Master Data Consent” and “Insure Connect”.
