This team assists Nationwide’s corporate governance activities in coordination with our Board of Directors and provides legal support to the Finance and Corporate Development business units, which includes Capital Markets, Investments, Real Estate, Risk Transfer, and M&A/transactional activities.
Corporate Operations & Litigation Legal
This team supports Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, Innovation and Tax, manages corporate litigation against Nationwide and its affiliates, and provides support for all Office of Chief Legal Officer Operations.
Trial Division
Nationwide Trial Division (NTD) represents Nationwide and Nationwide policyholders who are sued by a third party as a result of a covered loss event.

Nationwide Financial Legal provides legal support to the Nationwide Financial businesses and distribution organizations. Products include annuities, life insurance, deferred compensation plans, and mutual funds.

The Property & Casualty Legal Team supports the Nationwide Property & Casualty businesses by providing legal, regulatory, and legislative support, advice and counsel.
Compliance & Ethics
The Office of Compliance & Ethics is responsible for overseeing, implementing, and monitoring Nationwide’s regulatory compliance and ethics programs, as well as providing guidance, training and support on related matters.
