Brent Porteus is a managing partner of the family-owned farming and agricultural business, Blair Porteus & Sons. He was elected to the Nationwide Board of Directors in 2011.

Porteus also serves as a director of the Coshocton Grain Company. Previously, he held many leadership roles within the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and served as president from 2008-2011. He represented the Farm Bureau on international trade missions. In 2013, he was appointed by Ohio Governor John Kasich to serve a nine-year term on The Ohio State University Board of Trustees.

He also has held leadership positions with the Ohio Corn Growers Association, Ohio Corn Marketing Program and the National Corn Growers Association. Porteus holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics.
