John Tobin

Chief Financial Officer

John H. Tobin is Chief Investment Officer for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies (Dreyfus CIS) and he is responsible for investment management and distribution Dreyfus CIS’ affiliated money market mutual funds and UCITS, as well as the management of the firm’s collective investment trusts.

John returned to Dreyfus CIS from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he was Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Management for the Global Liquidity business, a position he had held since 2001. In that role, John oversaw the Global Cash portfolio management teams across the U.S., EMEA, and Asia. His team was responsible for over $700 billion in AUM across seven currencies.

While at J.P. Morgan, John was a senior member of the Global Liquidity Operating Committee (GLOC). He also held the Vice-chairman role for both the Global Cash Investment Policy Committee (GCPC) and Trading Practices Oversight Committee (TPOC).

John has 30 years in financial services experience. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2001, John spent three years as a principal and senior portfolio manager at State Street Global Advisors, managing short duration portfolios. He began his career at Dreyfus CIS (formerly The Dreyfus Corporation) trading money market securities.

John earned a B.B.A in Finance from Hofstra’s Zarb School of Business and an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and three children.

Bernard W. Kiernan, Jr.

Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager

Bernard Kiernan is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Money Market Fund Strategies for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. He has held this position since 1996 and is a member of the team responsible for portfolio management of the Dreyfus taxable money market funds as well as the U.S. dollar portfolios of the BNY Mellon Liquidity Funds, which are offered only to non-U.S. institutional investors. Prior to his current role, he was a money market fund trader. Bernard joined the firm in 1981 as an accountant for the money market funds where he remained for three years. He has a B.S. from York College of Pennsylvania.

James G. O'Connor

Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of the Taxable Fixed Income Group

James O’Connor is an Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of the Taxable Fixed Income Group for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. He is a member of the team responsible for portfolio management of the taxable money market funds. He is also the lead portfolio manager for the U.S. dollar portfolios of the BNY Mellon Liquidity Funds, which are offered only to non-U.S. institutional investors. James has served as a member of the Dreyfus Capital Commitments and Risk Management Committees. His previous positions include management, trading and sales positions at Aubrey G. Lanston and Co., Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (“CIBC”) and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. He holds a B.S. degree in finance from Providence College.

Thomas Riordan

Thomas Riordan is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Money Market Fund Strategies for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. Prior to joining The Dreyfus Corporation, he was a money market portfolio manager with U.S. Trust for nine years and with HSBC Asset Management for three years. He has a B.A. in economics from Boston University.

Edward Von Sauers

Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager

Ed Von Sauers is an Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies (“CIS”), a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. Edward joined The Dreyfus Corporation in 2008 as a Managing Credit Strategist for Short Duration Portfolios and is currently the portfolio manager for several collective trust vehicles. Prior to his current role within CIS, he served as Chief Strategist for CIS.

From 1988 through 2007, he held several positions within The Bank of New York Mellon’s Asset Management Division, serving as Chief Investment Officer of Institutional Asset Management with overall responsibility for Fixed Income and Index Management. From 1991 through 2007, Edward served as Chief Investment Officer for Liquidity Management, with managerial and investment responsibilities for money market funds and short duration investment portfolios. He joined the Asset Management Division of The Bank of New York Mellon in 1988 as a portfolio manager responsible for short-and intermediate-term fixed income portfolios. Ed joined The Bank of New York Mellon in 1987 as a fixed income salesperson specializing in sales of mortgaged-backed securities.

Peter Henshaw

Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of Money Market Trading

Peter Henshaw is Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of Money Market Trading at Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies, a division of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. He has been with the firm since June 2004 and is responsible for taxable money market portfolios, including 2a-7 money market funds, UCITs money funds, and bank collective short-term investment funds.

Prior to joining Dreyfus, Peter worked at Mellon Investor Services for five years. He has a B.S. from the University of Scranton.
